Dr. Krone’s Story
When I was a kid there were four things I was taught to focus on: love God, love family, excel in schoolwork, be the best basketball player I could be. I was the type that knew the way things should be and was unapologetic about it. I can remember my dad introducing me to one of his friends and hearing, “Oh so you’re a basketball fan too?” This was the most confusing thing I had ever heard. “I’m not a basketball fan, I’m a basketball player” I replied. He thought I was a comedian.
As a kid I focused on my four things and despised anything that I thought would get in the way of that, especially things like: drugs, sex, and alcohol. I was so particular that I remember crying most Friday nights in high school because I felt like nobody was like me and I was never going to find my people.
At the end of my senior year things were really confusing for me. I wanted to play D1 basketball but I had no offers despite practicing every day, stretching, and buying every elite training and vertical jump program under the sun. You know the quote “Hard work always beats talent”? Well apparently that doesn’t work in basketball unless your name’s Steph Curry. I had to find something I could actually immerse myself in where I knew that could actually become a reality. Enter biohacking.
In my undergraduate years (or rather just before) I decided to become a chiropractor because I had gotten previous help with a scoliotic and hyperkyphotic curve in my spine that were causing me severe back pain and spasm. Spending most of my hours outside schoolwork researching chiropractic, I found what’s called biohacking. Biohacking’s like that thing that you find where you’re at the end of a maze and you make a wrong turn and think you’re at the end but really you just exited from the side. These so-called biohackers were doing what I’ve always wanted, optimizing cognitive and physical performance to be the best. Except… Their methods were often extreme. Many of them were using anabolic steroids and looking to use biohacking to offset the side effects. Others were literally injecting pig brains into them, which worked extremely well for cognition but long-term would result in mania or hypomania. They often used pharmacological interventions at different doses and dosages than what a medical doctor would prescribe and found that they could make their blood work look really good, like better than better (of course time eventually would catch up with them).
I was so fascinated by these methods that months before starting chiropractic school I was considering switching to Pharmacy school. I even got the COVID vaccine (huge mistake) just from being obsessed with the idea of the experiment. The idea of biohacking was really exciting me. There was one problem. A really big problem that you could probably consider a hundred different problems all in one. Biohacking was about “me, myself, and I” and I knew God was calling me to something higher. To him, to serve him. Isn’t it fascinating? Worshipping God and serving Him is all about Him, yet God is so kind and loving that we get pretty much everything out of it. I mean, we can’t really do anything to “help” God, He’s already perfect. But He knows what’s best for us, and so when we are supposed to be giving, we’re really receiving. What a generous and faithful God we have.
I decided to stay the course and start chiropractic school. God’s plan. During my first trimester (ten in total), I met a group of really cool group of Christian guys and gals. We became like brothers and sisters very quickly and they looked out for me. They invited me into their family, and we had true fellowship.
A few weeks into the trimester they asked me to come to an Applied Kinesiology demonstration night held by Dr. Scott Huff which was held in an old church basement. It was one of the wildest things I’d ever seen. Dr. Huff started the night off by asking, “Does anyone have any unfixable problems?” As people raised their hands Dr. Huff started asking questions and disssected the potential root causes of their health issues. We’re not talking traditional chiropractic health issues (pain, headaches, etc.), we’re talking autoimmune diseases, chronic gut issues, hearing loss, visual disturbances, etc. As he laid them on the table he went to work. The crazy thing about Applied Kinesiology is that you don’t need any equipment, you strictly use the patients body, eliminating all potential room for error. After treating someone for 2-3 hours, he stood them up and they physically looked sedated. Their posture was perfect, they were relaxed, light, and symptom-free. My head was hurting trying to figure out what he was doing. I think I maybe picked up on 2 or 3 out of the 5,000 things he did that night.
I didn’t know if I could spend a lifetime and learn half of what he knew. But I knew I needed to pursue Applied Kinesiology. Not only did I learn Applied Kinesiology and rather quickly too, but I began studying other muscle testing techniques, and traveled the country shadowing some of the best doctors in the world. I learned what takes most muscle testers 20 years to learn in only a few years through raw determination and a newfound excitement to uncover the secrets as to why our country is so terribly sick.
One way or another the Lord has lead me to McKinney, Texas to serve Him by serving the community. My accomplishments are nothing, and I mean nothing without Christ.
